Welcome to the online site for Kwinana Fire and Rescue, Station 158

Staffed entirely by local volunteer firefighters, we have specialties in various areas - with most of our crew working locally or in mining, and servicing the town of Kwinana - Western Australia.

We welcome you to visit our station, if you are a local or from overseas - or interstate.

We often get our American brother's dropping in, as well as fellow firefighters from Wales and the UK.

If you're looking for patches, buckles, shirts or can holders - they will be up soon for sale to aid our fundraising.

We are constantly on the lookout for potential firefighters to join our ranks.

If you think you'd like to see what it's all about - or would like to join us, please feel free to come to a training session - they're held every monday evening from 7pm onwards at our station - or just stop past and see if it's something you would like to be a part of !

What We Do

Beside our usual firefighting duties, we also conduct firebreak inspections, Hydrant maintenance and controlled burning of bushland.

We have also been known to rescue the odd cat in a tree.. and assist with post storm damage to buildings..

No 2 fires are ever alike, so we train for various scenario's - including breathing apparatus, vehicle accident rescue, vehicle rescue using cutters and spreaders, first aid scenario's using standard procedures - and oxyviva..

Our station is located on Chisholm Avenue in Kwinana - where we have been located since 1974.

Our station has a history of over 50 years dedicated service to the local community and industry in the local community.
